Anabel Dean is a multi award-winning travel writer who began her journalistic career as a Fleet Street news reporter in London (The Sun newspaper) before becoming a features writer for The Sydney Morning Herald and The Bulletin magazine (eventually as Arts Editor). She was appointed Lifestyle and Travel Editor at Medical Observer in 2013.

Today she contributes to print and online publications around the world: Traveller (The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Sun Herald), Travel + Luxury (The Australian), CNN Travel, Australian Country, ROAM, Wellbeing, The New Daily, NZ Life and Leisure, Mindfood, The West Australian, Outback, Vogue, Green, Sphere (UK), Houses and others.

She is a contributing writer for the Art Gallery of NSW (Look magazine), Art Edit, Art Collector and My Savvy Traveller. Occasionally, she steps out as an arts guide, for The Art Gallery of NSW.:
